Who took the photo? Someone from the publicity dept. I would imagine. Just a s.cam and a publicity stunt.
Hi Kryztof – Of course someone from the PR department took it or approved it for release. That’s how publicity works. As for it being a publicity stunt I can tell you it was a very real thing that happened an in the pressure-filled environment of The Block meant it was a real advantage for those who had seen the picture in question. It’s compelling to see how the contestants react.
Hi Kryztof – apologies – I think I misunderstood you. You meant the photo in question at the centre of this scandal, not the photo on the article. I got that wrong.
I can guarantee you that the photo of the schedule was not taken by a PR and seeded into the show to create anything. In a conversation I’ve had with a producer on The Block this caught them all by surprise and was a massive deal for the ‘game’ that the show is.
No prob. Steve. Call me a cynic, but something like this is very much in the “smell a rat” category when it comes to “reality” TV, especially when associated with a show that hasn’t been rating that well.
Completely understandably, Kryztof. We’ve all been burned before. (For the record, The Block’s numbers haven’t been bad – just overshadowed by a skewing The Voice Australia on Seven.)
