Australian drama series Lie With Me will no longer premiere this week after a late decision by the 10 Network to drop it from the schedule.

Lie With Me tells the story of a picture-perfect family that relocates to the other side of the world to start a new life, only to have pesky skeletons in their closet also make the move.

The drama, which was filmed on location in Australia is a co-production between 10 and Channel 5. The 4-part series premiered in the UK earlier this year and had been scheduled to premiere this Thursday, August 19 after The Bachelor.

A spokesperson for 10 declined to answer questions regarding why the series was bumped or when it will resurface. In its place, the network has now scheduled an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Wednesday and Thursday nights are proving to be problematic for 10 due to the below-par ratings for The Bachelor. The network has recently been scheduling double-episodes of the dating melodrama in a move designed to quickly burn off the under-performing series.

Lie With Me stars Brett Tucker (Neighbours, McLeod’s Daughters) and Charlie Brooks (EastEnders, UK’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!).

The drama tells the story of British woman Anna and her Australian husband Jake, who move back to Melbourne with their two small children. With Anna resuming her career, they hire a young live-in nanny to help. But local girl Becky is anything but the innocent stranger she pretends to be…

Lie With Me is a story of deception, following your instincts and what lengths you would go in order to protect the ones you love.

Note: Due to an ongoing dispute regarding editorial independence, the 10 Network and its parent company ViacomCBS declined to provide assistance with the preparation of this content.

  1. If this series has already been run in the UK, anyone who might be remotely interested has only go to look up the ratings in the UK and see how it’s judged.

    • Hi Richard – aren’t UK and Australian TV audiences different though? Just because it rated a certain way over there doesn’t mean it will air the same here.

  2. Disappointed!!
