It was the slowest night on TV in nearly three weeks.
Nine start with their consistent best in A Current Affair (713,000), though it was down on every ep this week. Then their night splits based on the NRL states: you either got Thursday Night NRL Live (373,000) and Thursday Night Knock-Off (153,000) OR you got RBT (230,000), Australian Crime Stories (159,000) and Reported Missing (127,000). It wasn’t much, but it was enough to pip Seven.
Nine first in primary (19.5%) and second in network (28.3%) rankings.
Seven deliver their now standard triple ep of Home and Away (605,000; 553,000 late), still running well off the back of its return this week, though softer. Then it was a jumble of programming based on your AFL state status: My Impossible House (123,000), 10 Years Younger In 10 Days (142,000), and The Front Bar (349,000) in varying order. A good network win.
Seven second in primary (19.4%) and first in network (29.3%) rankings.
10 see The Project (280,000 6:30pm; 468,000 7pm) weaken again toward the end of the week, and then a double episode of The Bachelor Australia (412,000) all rolled together slides a little on last night. Prep yourselves for more burn-offs next week. A repeat of Law & Order: SVU (175,000) and new Blue Bloods (95,000) completed the night.
10 tied third in primary (11.7%) and third network (18.7%) rankings.
7:30 (584,000) stands up in the timeslot, with reasonable numbers for Foreign Correspondent (458,000) following. Q+A (305,000) nearly double last week’s offering – change in host makes that much difference? Fake or Fortune? (175,000) fills out the night.
ABC tied third in primary (11.7%) and fourth in network (16.7%) rankings.
SBS offer up a repeat Great Asian Railway Journeys (153,000), new Incredible Journeys with Simon Reeve (127,000), and then the brilliant The Good Fight (45,000) to little applause.
SBS fifth in both primary (3.8%) and network (7.1%) rankings.

Free to air tv is absolute rubbish today – current affair is rubbish – not like the days of Mike Willesee – we don’t all subscribe to pay tv -nor should we have to.
