Beloved presenter Melissa Doyle is set to make a TV return, and this time it looks set to be at former arch-rival, Channel 9.
Media Diary in The Australian reports the former Sunrise and Sunday Night host will narrate a new observation-documentary series Australia Behind Bars on Nine, which will take viewers behind the walls of three NSW prisons.
The new series, which was reportedly filmed before lockdown, will shine a spotlight on conditions for prisoners in the Dillwynia, Silverwater, and Wellington prisons.
Australia Behind Bars is being produced by ITV for Nine. The network is yet to formally announce the series, although it’s expected to premiere later this year.
Since exiting Seven in 2020, Doyle has become a freelance gun for hire. In March, she presented a one-off special interview with Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert for Sky News Australia
