Survivor maintains its audience as the Geeks falter at the second-last hurdle.

Even more gold means even more interest in the Games for Seven: Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Evening (7pm) (1,078,000), Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Night (8:30pm) (1,439,000), and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Late Evening (10pm) (1,000,000).
Seven first in both primary (35.8%) and network (50.7%) rankings.

Nine again bring their best early with A Current Affair (786,000), and Beauty and the Geek (519,000) slips for its penultimate episode. Botched (213,000) fills a hole ahead of the split based on footy codes with BNE/SYD getting 100% Footy (31,000) and MEL/ADL/PER getting Footy Classified (59,000).
Nine second in both primary (12.5%) and network (17.9%) rankings.

The Project (287,000 6:30pm; 403,000 7pm) not lighting fires for 10 and struggling against the Games too. At least Australian Survivor (603,000) keeps the ratings fires burning. Have You Been Paying Attention? (477,000) slips to its lowest this season, again Games affected, and the later night offering of Kitty Flanagan: Smashing (207,000) pulls in a small audience.
10 third in both primary (10.6%) and network (15.6%) rankings.

7:30 (559,000) and Australian Story (515,000) land a solid start to the night for the ABC, however a Coronavirus lockdown episode of Four Corners (415,000) can’t compete with our Japanese goldrush. Media Watch (365,000) also suffers. A repeat of Maggie Beer in Japan (122,000) is timely though doesn’t bring many viewers to the table.
ABC fourth in both primary (8.7%) and network (11.9%) rankings.

SBS deliver a repeat of Becoming Bond (115,000), and
Marley which rated lower than 28,000 and was outside the top 250.
SBS fifth in both primary (2.2%) and network (3.9%) rankings.
