Monday Ratings | TOKYO 2020 OLYMPIC GAMES deliver untouchable numbers

We are still feeling very Olympic today.

These figures for Seven are massive and will reign supreme for the next two weeks. Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Evening (7pm) (1,210,000) and Tokyo 2020 Olympc Games – Night (8:30pm) (1,146,000) are supplemented by the BVOD numbers on 7plus which is also doing massive business. These are the smallest numbers this Games period however still more than double (Nine) and triple (10) their commercial rivals.
Seven first in both primary (31.4%) and network (46.3%) rankings.

Nine still get a bold start with A Current Affair (738,000), however Beauty and the Geek (562,000) suffers from the Olympic bubble and no makeovers. Botched (228,000) is barely a placeholder, and then it’s NRL with 100% Footy (48,000) or AFL with or Footy Classified (92,000).
Nine second in both primary (13.6%) and network (19.3%) rankings.

10 start reasonably with The Project (313,000 6:30pm; 496,000 7pm), and Australian Survivor (627,000) lifts (almost swapping with BATG from last night). The Olympic bubble affecting everything. Have You Been Paying Attention? (577,000) down also, and Georgie Carroll: The Gloves are Off (107,000) keeps the 10pm slot warm.
10 third in both primary (11.8%) and network (17.7%) rankings.

7:30 (662,000) off to a big start, however the final Courtney Act’s One Plus One (290,000) slips. Four Corners (370,000) and Media Watch (351,000) both affected by the lesser lead-in, and The Great Barrier Reef – The Next Generation (115,000) almost unwatched.
ABC fourth in both primary (8.6%) and network (12%) rankings.

SBS leaning into their documentary season with Jimmy Carter: Rock and Roll President (84,000) and a repeat of I Am Johnny Cash (93,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (2.8%) and network (4.8%) rankings.

KEY DEMOS
16-39: Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Day 3 – Evening (293,000) leads the Night session, Seven News 6pm/6:30pm, and Australian Survivor.

18-49: Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Day 3 – Evening (441,000) beats out the Night session, Seven News 6pm/6:30pm, and the Afternoon session.

25-54: Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Day 3 – Evening (473,000) completes the demo triple win, ahead of Seven News 6pm, the Night session, Seven News 6:30pm, and Nine News 6pm.
