Executives at Seven will be breathing a sigh of relief with ratings for the Olympics going through the roof.

The Seven Network had a massive 59.2% share last night in the 5 cap cities, with the primary channel bringing in 37.0%. While every other network took a hit, none more so than 10’s primary channel which hit a record low of just 3.3% (that was only just above SBS on 2.6%).

7 News was the top rating show of the night on 1.349m, followed by Olympics Night (1.328m) and Olympics Evening (1.257m).

Nine News took the #4 spot on 970k with various Olympic sessions taking out the next 4 spots.

The only program on 10 to make the top 20 was 10 News First on 319k, coming in at #18.

The pressure will be on 10 tonight as it pits Survivor up against the Olympics. Last week the iconic reality show launched with an impressive 752k and the pressure is on the franchise to hold up 10’s struggling line-up, especially after The Bachelor could only manage 482k for its premiere – it’s lowest launch ever.

If Survivor fails tonight, 10 is in for a lot of heartache.
