Ahead of next month’s premiere of The Voice on its new home at Channel 7, the network has confirmed the commissioning of a spin-off version, The Voice: Generations for 2022.
The Voice: Generations takes the world’s biggest singing competition and invites singers and musicians from different generations to perform together in The Voice arena.
Seven is promising The Voice: Generations will feature ‘Australia’s most talented families, supportive parents, cute kids, gorgeous grandparents, unforgettable siblings, aunts, uncles, blended families and more, all vying for Voice glory’.
The decision to commission spin-off series, The Voice: Generations comes at a time when Seven is looking to lock in its Q1 programming line-up for next year.
Seven’s Network Director of Programming, Angus Ross, said:
“The incredible new season of The Voice which debuts after the Olympics is the best yet.
“We are so thrilled with the series, we think it deserves a spin-off and The Voice: Generations is the perfect way to add an exciting new dimension to the format.”
Hosted by Sonia Kruger, The Voice: Generations is an ITV Studios Australia production for the Seven Network.
