It was, however, the lowest rating winter Origin game in OzTAM history.
One way traffic for Nine. State Of Origin Game 3 Pre-Match (907,000) built into State Of Origin Game 3 (1,746,000), and then the State Of Origin Game 3 Post-Match (537,000). A lower result for FTA than Nine would have wanted, though adding in a 213,000 VPM (viewers per minute average) rating for BVOD helps. Heading into the Olympics next week the match is the third highest rating program (so far) for 2021.
Nine first in both primary (33.8%) and network (40.3%) rankings.
Home and Away (621,000) consistent for Seven across this week in the mid-600’s, and even Farmer Wants A Wife (630,000) maintained it’s rage as it races towards its finale next week. Then, in various order depending on where you are in the country, the night landed like this: 10 Years Younger In 10 Days (139,000), a repeat of Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell And Back (74,000), and The Front Bar (328,000).
Seven second in both primary (18.1%) and network (24.6%) rankings.
The ABC most affected by Origin, with 7:30 (645,000) down, Win The Week (350,000) up slightly but not enough, and Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (438,000) down 60k on last week. The later evening offers of Starstruck (198,000), Superwog (88,000), and Adam Hills: The Last Leg (83,000) didn’t fare much better.
ABC third in both primary (9.2%) and network (13.7%) rankings.
10 rolled the dice and couldn’t manage much attention, even with the idea that those interested in the Royals wouldn’t be watching Origin…and so they dive into fourth place (an unusual spot for the network, as they’ve been performing better this year). The Project (301,000 6:30pm; 504,000 7pm) is 10’s best(!), followed by The Queen Carries On: Gayle King Special (266,000), Royals Revealed: Growing Up Royal (194,000), and then a repeat of Bull (120,000) to round out the night.
10 fourth in both primary (7.1%) and network (12.9%) rankings.
A repeat of Secrets of the Tower of London (117,000) starts SBS’s night, and then in rolled the couch peleton for Tour de France live (stage 17) (185,000; 82,000 late).
SBS fifth in both primary (5.2%) and network (8.4%) rankings.
