Written by and starring two of Australia’s favourite comedians and real-life best friends Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola, Rosehaven follows the story of two fictional friends and unlikely real estate agents, Daniel (expat Tasmanian McGregor) and Emma (Pacquola).

Celia Pacquola said,

“It is very sad to say goodbye to our little town and its inhabitants after 40 episodes but I’m so proud of our final season and grateful that we were able to finish things the way we always wanted to.

With dragons and explosions*. (*S5 may not include dragons or explosions).”

Luke McGregor said:

“I’m really going to miss Rosehaven, and I hope everyone enjoys the final season. Getting to make this show with my best friend, in Tassie has been amazing.

One thing I’m not willing to say goodbye to just yet though is having Kris McQuade as a mum – so Kris if you’re reading this, just a heads up that I’m gonna call you every mother’s day until you tell me to stop because it’s weird.”

Having defeated the first agent that tried to encroach on McCallum Real Estate’s territory, Daniel and Emma are happy for things to get back to normal at the office. Navigating issues that crop up with their clients, they’re finally managing the routine of being professional adults. Barbara’s (Kris McQuade) trust is growing for the duo as she lets them take on more responsibility within the business. Could this be the year she finally retires?

Meanwhile, Daniel is working on being friends with his ex, Grace (Katie Robertson), but starts to wonder if just friends will be enough for him. Emma is getting on with things too in her own unique way, from elaborate schemes to solve problems with tenants to pursuits in amateur crime solving. All in all, it’s Rosehaven as we know and love it.

Filmed over seven weeks, season five of Rosehaven continues to share Tasmania’s natural beauty with locations including Richmond, Geeveston, New Norfolk, Seven Mile Beach, Lauderdale, Ridgeway, and Longley as well as the Huon Valley’s Brightside Farm Sanctuary which features in episode six.
