EURO 2020 Round of 16 fixtures now confirmed

The UEFA EURO 2020 group phase came to a close this morning (AEST), with four phenomenal fixtures featuring a whopping 18 goals deciding which nations advanced to the Round of 16 and establishing a tantalising set of fixtures as the tournament enters the knockout phase.

Broadcast live and exclusive on Optus Sport, Aussie football fans can catch all the action from early Sunday morning with two big clashes every day over four days, before the tournament moves into the Quarter Final stage.

Highlights include heavyweight clashes World Number 1 Belgium and defending champion Portugal on Monday, as well as a huge clash between traditional arch-rivals England and Germany on Wednesday.

“We’ve seen 36 captivating UEFA EURO 2020 fixtures already in the group stage, with an average of more than two goals scored every game, and some of the world’s very best players showing their ability to rise to the occasion,”

“The Round of 16 is when things start to get really serious, and we establish who the true contenders are, as knockout football kicks in. With superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku, Memphis Depay and more, these fixtures promise plenty of fiery encounters and explosive rivalries.

“Optus Sport will proudly broadcast two blockbuster matches every morning (AEST) from Sunday June 27 through to Wednesday June 30, as part of our live and exclusive coverage of every minute of UEFA EURO 2020.”

EURO 2020 Round of 16 fixtures are as follows:

  • Sunday 27 June, 2am – Wales vs. Denmark
  • Sunday 27 June, 5am – Italy vs. Austria
  • Monday 28 June, 2am – Netherlands vs. Czech Republic
  • Monday 28 June, 5am – Belgium vs. Portugal
  • Tuesday 29 June, 2am – Croatia vs. Spain
  • Tuesday 29 June, 5am – France vs. Switzerland
  • Wednesday 30 June, 2am – England vs. Germany
  • Wednesday 30 June, 5am – Sweden vs. Ukraine

Meanwhile, the Copa America 2021 continues to progress, with the group phase to conclude this Tuesday before Quarter Final action commences on Saturday July 3; you can catch South America’s premier tournament live and exclusive on Optus Sport as well.
