Network 10 and the WIN Corporation have today confirmed the signing of a new affiliation agreement for the supply of Network 10 content to WIN Network for its Northern NSW television licence area.
The new agreement is for a term of five years from 1 July 2021 and results in WIN broadcasting Network 10’s metropolitan free-to-air television content from Channel 10, 10 Bold and 10 Peach into Northern NSW.
This agreement does not include the 10 Shake multichannel which will remain unavailable in the Northern NSW region.
As revealed yesterday by TV Blackbox, Network 10 is expected to this week sign a new affiliation agreement with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) which will see 10’s channel line-up, including 10 Shake broadcast into the Southern NSW, Queensland and Victoria regions.
Jarrod Villani, Chief Operating and Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President, ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, said:
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with WIN and renew the affiliate agreement for Northern NSW. WIN are a valued broadcast partner and we believe the outcome from these discussions collectively benefits both companies.”
Andrew Lancaster, Chief Executive Officer of WIN, said:
“The continuation of Network 10 content on our channels in Northern NSW is a great win for our viewers who enjoy channels 10, 10 Bold and 10 Peach. We look forward to working with 10 over the next five years to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.”
10 has indicated further announcements in relation to affiliation agreements involving Network 10 in other regionals areas are expected to be made shortly.
I would like to know why we are not getting 10 shake in nnsw.It should replace a shopping channel or that sky news once again viewers in nnsw miss out. 10 shake would have been good for the kids to watch during the day.
Will Win use the ten branding in northern NSW from July 1st?
I hope so so we wont have to see that dreadful watermark on win tv. I hope we will see the ten branding on the channels.
I guess we will find out on Thursday.
