Hosted by Supercars fan favourite Mark Larkham with support from the Tickford Racing Team, Supercars 101 will cut through motorsport’s jargon and technicalities so everyone can engage in one of sport’s most thrilling competitions.

Supercars 101 will run on Wednesdays on 7plus and the 7Sport social platforms, with this week’s episode exploring a Supercar’s fundamental features and what separates it from a standard road car.

Larkham said Supercars 101 was designed to make motorsport accessible for a whole new legion of fans.

“If you’re new to the sport or a general sports fan, this series will unravel the jargon and complexity into simple talk because I reckon if you know what really matters about the cars, the people, the places and how we go about our game, you’ll enjoy our sport a whole lot more,”

“Supercars 101 really hits my sweet spot and I’m genuinely looking forward to bringing this new series to life – it’s for you.”

Other upcoming topics on Supercars 101 include the all-important driver-engineer  partnership, safety and driver equipment, race tyres and the different circuits featured on the Repco Supercars Championship calendar.

Last weekend Seven also launched 7’s Motorsport Classics, an unmissable series hosted by Jack Perkins that revisits some of the greatest moments in Australian motorsport from the  Seven vault, with thanks to Shannons.

Seven’s live and free coverage of the 2021 Supercars Championship continues on 10-11 July with the NTI Townsville 500 at Reid Park Street Circuit.
