Must have been cold last night as lots of people tuned into their favourite things (with almost all of them doing well)!
The premiere of Australian Ninja Warrior (795,000), now with added Kyrgios, delivers a big win for Nine at the start of the night (I’ll be surprised if it gets better than this). A much-later airing 60 Minutes (451,000) struggles with a later start time, however leading with their recent IT hacking issues which means it keeps a chunk of audience. Law & Order: Organized Crime (81,000) runs out the night.
Nine first in both primary (22.7%) and network (31.4%) rankings.
The Johnny Ruffo 7 News Spotlight: Never Give Up (627,000) does much better business for Seven, and a repeat of MOVIE: The Accountant (318,000) carries part of an audience into the later evening.
Seven second in both primary (18.3%) and network (26%) rankings.
The Project (283,000 6:30pm; 451,000 7pm) keeps the low Sunday standard we’ve gotten used to from 10, while MasterChef Australia (617,000) ticks up out of the mid-500s that it’s been living in. A new ep and then double repeat eps of FBI (265,000; 175,000; 120,000) doesn’t offer much for anyone but fans.
10 third in both primary (13.3%) and network (20.1%) rankings.
Spicks and Specks (544,000) locks away its final episode of the series to complete a warm return for the original cast on the ABC. Jack Irish (438,000) continues with good numbers (though down on last week), and MOVIE: Hunger (95,000) completes the night.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.6%) and network (15.4%) rankings.
A big doco double on SBS delivers a repeat of Andre The Giant (104,000)
and Lance (74,000) for the evening’s entertainment.
SBS fifth in both primary (3.6%) and network (7.2%) rankings.
