Tonight in an A Current Affair exclusive, Crime Editor Simon Bouda sits down with former Australian test cricket star Stuart MacGill, who finally breaks his silence – two months after his terrifying kidnapping ordeal which created headlines around the country.
MacGill was a star on the field for Australia during his successful international cricket career, earning more than 200 test wickets throughout the 90’s and 00’s.
But in April this year, MacGill was a victim of an alleged kidnapping near his home in Sydney’s north shore, by four men who proceeded to hold him at gunpoint and beat him in an extortion attempt in which he feared for his life.
He was eventually released, and after a brief delay, reported the crime to the police and the four men were arrested.
Tonight, the notoriously private MacGill reveals to Simon in a raw and compelling interview the impact the incident has had on him, both mentally and physically.
MacGill is fidget as hell, totally involved in this bullshit made up crap.
