The return of Nine’s travel show helps however Seven repeating movies appears to be back in vogue too.

A Current Affair (683,000) slips a lot for Wednesday on Nine, though the return of Travel Guides (648,000) helps as it takes out the timeslot win. The penultimate episode Doctor Doctor (437,000) does its best numbers all season. Perhaps they should have announced they were cancelling it earlier? A repeat of King’s Cross ER (106,000) completes the evening.
Nine first in both primary (19.5%) and network (29.5%) rankings.

Home & Away (628,000) down on last night on Seven however within a sniff of its chief rival. Big Brother Australia (586,000) slips into fourth in the timeslot however coupled with their strong News product and a repeat of MOVIE: Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (137,000) helps bring home a good result.
Seven second in both primary (17.9%) and network (26%) rankings.

7:30 (549,000) and Hard Quiz (662,000) work together to bring a strong second place for the ABC (606,000 average). This continues with Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (564,000), and add in the season finale of You Can’t Ask That (341,000) and the premiere of Superwog (163,000) it’s a solid Wednesday. Adam Hills: The Last Leg (103,000) and a repeat of The Set (32,000) completes Aunty’s night.
ABC third in primary (12.8%) and fourth in network (17.5%) rankings.

The Project (282,000 6:30pm; 479,000 7pm) ticks up a little for 10, as does MasterChef Australia (591,000) – third in the slot. A double repeat of Bull (200,000; 154,000) does nothing to help their overall chances.
10 fourth in primary (11.4%) and third in network (19.5%) rankings.

SBS’s night runs to plan with a repeat of Britain’s Cathedrals with Tony Robinson (148,000), On Board Britain’s Nuclear Submarine (182,000), and Bloodlands (91,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.5%) and network (7.5%) rankings.

KEY DEMOS
16-39: MasterChef Australia and Big Brother (145,000) tie for first, followed by Seven News 6pm, Nine News 6:30pm, and The Project 7pm.

18-49: Big Brother (257,000) wins, beating out MasterChef Australia, Seven News 6pm, and Nine News 6:30pm/6pm.

25-54: Seven News 6pm (285,000) wins this important demo, ahead of Nine News 6pm/6:30pm, MasterChef Australia and Big Brother.
