Swedish true crime drama HUNT FOR A KILLER arrives at SBS On Demand

Hunt For A Killer is a crime drama based on a true story, about detectives Pelle Åkesson and Monica Olhed and their hunt for the killer of 10-year old Helén Nilsson – a case that shook Sweden and became a national trauma.

The night that Helén disappears, just before Easter, there are about 20 potential paedophiles in the small town of Hörby.

That is where the series begins, as it follows one of the biggest criminal investigations in the history of Sweden. Pelle and his lead interrogator Monica solve a series of unusually brutal murders in the beautiful region of Skåne, as they track down Helén’s killer.

The hunt for Helén Nilsson’s killer takes 15 years, but Pelle and Monica never give up and, finally, they solve the impossible case.

In Swedish with English subtitles.

Hunt For A Killer – Australian Premiere Thursday, 27 May 2021 on SBS On Demand (all six episodes available to stream)
