It turned into a reasonable primetime event for 10.

Home & Away (625,000) remains consistent for Seven, though at nearly 150,000 off the pace it’s not exactly competitive. Big Brother Australia (591,000) maintains its ratings consistency, which means it battles for first, coming second against 10’s offering. US dramas 9-1-1 (291,000) and S.W.A.T. (164,000) keep the respective franchise fans happy.
Seven first in both primary (19.3%) and network (26.8%) rankings.

A Current Affair (768,000) starts Nine’s night off with a big push as per usual. Celebrity Apprentice Australia (545,000 show; 611,000 boardroom) takes a serious dip from night one, so much so it can’t get out of fourth in the timeslot even when you average the two parts together (578,000). Season two of Emergency (302,000) premieres to little viewing response. The night then splits based on footy code: 100% Footy (39,000) [BNE/SYD] or Footy Classified (113,000) [MEL/ADL/PER].
Nine second in both primary (18.5%) and network (26.2%) rankings.

The Project (336,000 6:30pm; 524,000 7pm) ticks up a little on Sunday for 10 in the second half. MasterChef Australia (603,000) is the real success, succeeding in its battle with the offering from Seven. Early 600’s cannot be the real measure of success in the major primetime slot though, can it? Have You Been Paying Attention? (731,000) lifts again for 10, offering them some ratings respite and another claim as the most watched program in Monday night primetime. A real success for 10 and Working Dog. A repeat of How To Stay Married (220,000) and Just For Laughs (108,000) don’t add much – most of the audience vanished after HYBPA finished.
10 third in both primary (15.2%) and network (22.4%) rankings.

7:30 (623,000) and Australian Story (556,000) start the night reasonably for the ABC, and combined see the programs land 3rd in a tight battle the timeslot. Four Corners (481,000) and Media Watch (477,000) draw more eyes than last week, however Baby Surgeons (185,000) failed miserably to deliver on the promise of the show’s title (not one baby performed any surgery!).
ABC fourth in both primary (12.5%) and network (16.6%) rankings.

SBS’s trip to the UK again keeps only fans connected.
A repeat of Secrets of the Tower of London (122,000), Secret Scotland (187,000), and 24 Hours In Emergency all bested by the other FTA offerings.
SBS fifth in both primary (4.2%) and network (7.9%) rankings.

KEY DEMOS
Have You Been Paying Attention? tops all three demos (16-39, 18-49, 25-54), with Big Brother Australia and MasterChef Australia second and third in the first two, and then it’s all News (Nine, then Seven) in the latter.

MULTI-CHANNELS
Repeats of NCIS (169,000/155,000/152,000) takes out the three top slots as viewers flock to 10 Bold as it leads the multi-channels.

BREKKY BATTLE
Sunrise (266,000)
The Today Show (216,000)
ABC Breakfast (165,000 (100,000 ABC; 65,000 ABC News))
