Thursday really is a wasteland (nothing over one million viewers), isn’t it? I wonder why the ABC thought it would be a good home for Q+A?…

A Current Affair (678,000) starts a winning night for Nine. While the NRL spills across both primary and multi-channels the schedule gets a bit messy.
[BNE/SYD]
NRL Thursday Night Footy (North Qld Cowboys vs Newcastle Knights) (327,000) – primary in these markets, and on multi-channels in the other three – delivers a small audience. Thursday Night Knock-Off (139,000) understandably smaller.
[MEL/ADL/PER]
It’s catch-up or get-ahead mixed-up night for the rest of the country, with Mega Zoo (138,000), a repeat of Paramedics (176,000), and New Amsterdam (84,000).
Nine first in primary (19.3%) but second in network (26.8%) rankings.

Triple episode of Home & Away (557,000; 489,000 late) all of a sudden is split-coded, the “late” episode airing at 8pm. “LATE”. The following three shows all aired at different times across the night depending on the market: 10 Years Younger in 10 Days (177,000), How To Look Good Naked (80,000), and The Front Bar (349,000).
Seven second primary (18.7%) and snatches first in network (27.2%) rankings.

The Project (255,000 6:30pm; 453,000 7pm) has its 7pm half appear in all the demos but get thumped in total people, and MasterChef Australia (567,000) was both 10’s best, the number 1 program at 7:30pm, AND the number 1 program across all key demos. That is, however, where their golden run ends. A new and repeat ep of Law & Order: SVU (261,000; 208,000), and the finale of This Is Us (92,000) all don’t draw much attention.
10 third in both primary (12.8%) and network (20.4%) rankings.

7:30 (470,000) is the ABC’s best, and sub-500 is a poor showing for their flagship current affairs program. Back Roads (430,000) penultimate ep shrinks a little too, and Q+A (278,000) continues to deliver diabolical figures. What a silly idea their Thursday experiment has proven to be. A Life in Ten Pictures (220,000) completes the night for Aunty.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.4%) and network (17.4%) rankings.

A repeat of World’s Greatest Bridges (154,000) starts the night as SBS’s best, followed by a repeat of Michael Mosley: Trust Me, I’m A Doctor (125,000) and another amazing episode of The Handmaid’s Tale (117,000) completes their night.
SBS fifth in both primary (4.4%) and network (8.2%) rankings.

MULTI-CHANNELS
Bluey (192,000 AM; 166,000 PM) the best thing on the multi-channels, and content from ABC Kids takes 17 of the top 20 programs across the networks.

BREKKY BATTLE
Sunrise (264,000)
The Today Show (187,000)
ABC Breakfast (177,000 (107,000 ABC; 70,000 ABC News))

All figures Five City Metro (5CM); overnights only.
