THE SONS OF SAM – conspiratorial doco or the truth right in front of us?

Haven’t we overdosed on true crime docos yet?

In the mid-1970s a wave of brutal attacks took place in greater New York City. For no apparent reason people were being brutally murdered, and fear gripped the city. Letters were being published from the serial killer, signed ‘The Son of Sam’. Eventually David Berkowitz was arrested and confessed to these crimes as their sole perpetrator.

So this week we take a different tack as we dive in for our Group Binge on the four part sort-of-documentary series THE SONS OF SAM (Netflix). The documentary follows the work of investigative journalist Maury Terry who held fast to the belief that Berkowitz couldn’t be the only one involved in the ‘Son of Sam’ killings…in fact he believed it was a part of a larger Satanic cult at work in New York. Charmed, I’m sure.

There’s also a very exciting update on our much-loved Dan!
