After taking a break in 2020, Network 10’s unique and innovative television event Pilot Week, will return later this year.
Once again the network is on the lookout for a fresh crop of original unscripted local shows with a distinctive Aussie flair.
Now in its third season, Pilot Week, will give local storytellers the opportunity to present bold and diverse programs to a prime-time audience.
Confirming the return of the concept, Daniel Monaghan, Head of Programming, 10 ViacomCBS, said:
“We are thrilled to see the return of Pilot Week this year. It is such a great opportunity to showcase creative projects from our talented production community, and then determine what resonates the most with our audience.
“Pilot Week has resulted in a number of the pilots being commissioned for full seasons, and we expect this season to be no different. We can’t wait to get started.”
While 10 is yet to find a long term hit from Pilot Week, previous seasons of the programming search have led to the commissioning of additional episodes of formats including Kinne Tonight, Trial by Kial, Taboo, and Drunk History Australia.
