New to BritBox, this drama portrays the story of The Great Train Robbery of 8 August 1963 known as Britain’s greatest heist. This legendary story occurred in Buckinghamshire, England where a gang of 15 robbed a train of 2.6 million pounds.

This mini-series shares the story that made celebrities of all involved, especially the infamous Ronnie Biggs, firstly from the point of view of the robbers and then from the point of view of the police.

Starring Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Beauty and the Beast, Pembrokeshire Murders) and Martin Compston (Line of Duty, The Nest, Traces, Doomsday, In Plain Sight), The Great Train Robbery was nominated for the best mini-series BAFTA in 2014.

‘THE CHILD IN TIME’ – NEW TO BRITBOX

A man is confronted with the unthinkable when his daughter disappears in a supermarket.

An adaptation of the Ian McEwan’s award-winning novel of the same name, The Child in Time stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Endgame, The Hobbit, Sherlock, Hawking) and Kelly Macdonald (Line of Duty, Harry Potter, Trainspotting).
Stephen Lewis, played by Cumberbatch, is a successful writer of children’s books and is confronted with the unthinkable when his only child disappears in a supermarket.

The story follows Lewis as he tries to find purpose in his life after his daughter goes missing.
The Child in Time was written by BAFTA-nominee Stephen Butchard (Five Daughters) and Directed by BAFTA-winner Julian Farino.

‘LINE OF DUTY’ SEASON 6 FINALE – PREMIERE, EXCLUSIVE, EXPRESS FROM THE UK, COMPLETE SERIES (1-6)

BritBox will be the only place Australians can watch the season finale of Line of Duty Season 6 streaming in Australia on 6th May.

The highly anticipated sixth season and ratings smash hit has followed a team of detectives in Anti-Corruption Unit 12 (AC-12) as they work on a series of cases within the police force.

A true crime story looks at an alternative reality for a victim.

A Royal Television Society nominated film released in 2020, Anthony is based on the true harrowing story of Anthony Walker, a black 18 year old teenager who was murdered in an unprovoked racist attack in Merseyside, England in 2005.

The film looks into the life of Anthony, a devout Christian and aspiring lawyer, and explores an alternative story of how his life might have turned out if he was not the victim of this deadly attack.

Anthony received a five-star film review rating by The Guardian UK. Written by Emmy and BAFTA award winner, Jimmy McGovern (Cracker) and starring Toheed Jimoh (Ted Lasso, The Power) and Julia Brown (World on Fire, Shetland, The Last Kingdom, M.I High).

Agatha Christie decides to kill off her most famous character, Hercule Poirot in this alternative history drama.

Set during World War II, Agatha and the Midnight Murders takes place over the course of one evening. As bombs fall on London during the Blitz, debt-ridden writer Agatha Christie decides it’s time to kill off her most famous character Hercule Poirot.

Agatha and her companion Travis, a roguish grifter, get caught up in the middle of an air raid, while attempting to sell one of Agatha’s unpublished manuscripts featuring Poirot’s death to a superfan who will pay a fortune to own a piece of history and keep the beloved detective alive.

This mystery stars Ian Charleson Award nominated Helen Baxendale as Agatha Christie (Cold Feet, Friends, An Unsuitable Job for a Woman), Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners, Way to Go, Him & Her) and Alistair Petrie (The Bank Job, Cloud Atlas, Rush).

A young Agatha Christie investigates a real-life murder.

In 1926, with her writing in crisis and personal life in tatters, a young Agatha Christie decides to solve a real-life murder. When the god-daughter and namesake of Florence Nightingale is found murdered on a train with horrific head injuries, the victim’s partner of 26 years appeals to Agatha to help solve the case.

Agatha and the Truth of Murder was the second-highest rated fictional program of 2018 and sees Christie played by award-winning actress Ruth Bradley (Grabbers, Primeval, The Innocence Project), along with Ralph Ineson (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, The Office) and Pippa Haywood (Bodyguard).

Pride & Prejudice is based on Jane Austen’s classic 1813 novel of the same name.
