The future of the 32 NFL Franchises will be set on Friday April 30, when the 2021 NFL Draft comes live from Cleveland on ESPN Australia New Zealand.

NFL fans will be closely watching the selections that are made from each franchise, with the choices shaping their destiny going forward.

The 2021 NFL Draft looks set to be one of the most fascinating in recent memory. Will the draft picks fall as the experts predict, or will a franchise make a trade to climb the draft order and land the man they want?

ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage begins on Friday April 30 at 5am AEST with NFL Live, College GameDay and the NFL Draft Countdown delivering a dedicated preview, all emanating live from Cleveland.

The NFL Draft 2021 will then begin at 10am AEST on ESPN, hosted by Mike Greenberg.

The event will be ESPN’s 42nd NFL Draft telecast and Greenberg will be joined by senior NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr., NFL analysts Louis Riddick and Booger McFarland, Senior NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter and NFL host Suzy Kolber for the broadcast.

ESPN’s coverage will include 1500 creative elements, 450 player highlight packages and 35 player vignettes. The three-day event will see 50 cameras following live action in Cleveland, with an additional 40 in the homes of draft prospects and another 32 offering looks into each NFL Draft room.

The 2021 NFL Draft sees the Jacksonville Jaguars holding the number one pick.

As always, Quarterbacks are in the mix and are expected to be hot commodities in the opening round.

Clemson Quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the favourite to be taken by the Jags, as the longhaired Tigers QB set the NCAA alight in 2020.

Fellow quarterback Zach Wilson of BYU has been touted as the number two selection for the New York Jets, and the man capable of turning the ailing franchise around.

Whilst Mac Jones is another expected to be taken early in the mix, with many predicting he will become a 49er. San Francisco have traded up to pick three and the experts predict the Alabama QB will be their choice.

Tight-End Kyle Pitts (Florida), and Wide Receivers Ja’Marr Chase (LSU) and Jaylen Waddle (Alabama) are also names mentioned as falling into the top ten in the first round of the draft.

However, as history has shown, nothing is guaranteed come Draft Day and anything can happen when the NFL franchises are on the clock.

Saturday May 1 will see the second and third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, beginning at 9am AEST on ESPN2.

ESPN2 will also have Round 4-7 of the 2021 NFL Draft, beginning at 2am AEST on Sunday May 2.

ESPN SportsCenter host Phil Murphy and ESPN Australia New Zealand journalist Laurie Horesh will also host a special digital show ‘After the Draft’ following the conclusion of day one and day two of the NFL Draft.

The pair will recap all the picks and discuss all the fallout live on the ESPN Australia New Zealand Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
