It was the night both an Octopus and Frances McDormand both won an Oscar, and even that couldn’t save the broadcast from being the worst. episode. ever.
Full props to Hollywood for trying to celebrate its (limited) successes this year. Even with the venue change (and BOY did we talk about that!) it didn’t help, though it wasn’t all doom and woke gloom.
This week it’s Jo, Brooky, and Molk leading the charge and dissecting the 93rd ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS broadcast (Seven/7plus) for our Group Binge. Doing it’s best to face down the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with everyone vaccinated and physically distanced, including producer Steven Soderbergh’s 90 second “feels like a movie” into, Hollywood did indeed celebrate…and we all agreed it really needed a host (we discuss lots more too – enjoy the episode!).
Come over and join us at the TV Bingebox Gang Facebook Group where we’d love to hear what you’re watching, what you think of what we’re watching, and what we should all be watching.
Want some Clap or Slap shows? We’ve got a list: PATRIOT BRAINS (SBS VICELAND); LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM (ABC); MADE FOR LOVE (Stan); RUTHERFORD FALLS (Stan); SPICKS AND SPECKS (ABC); WAKEFIELD (ABC); MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT (Nine); YOUNGER (Stan); MONARCA (Netflix); and WAHL STREET (FOXTEL).
Join Jo, Dan, Brooky and Molk as we give you some great tips, hints on shows to watch and those to give a wide berth to as we land squarely in the TV Bingebox!
