This Anzac Day will see the premiere of a new Australian documentary Fighting to Farm: WWII Soldiers of Kangaroo Island on Foxtel’s History Channel

Set in the wake of the devastating 2020 bushfires, Fighting to Farm chronicles the remarkable tale of returned WWII veterans and their families who – against all odds – created farms and communities across the undeveloped western half of Kangaroo Island.

A story of courage, determination and resilience that continues to this very day.

Fighting to Farm includes revealing interviews with surviving Soldier Settlers, including Dudley Roberts, Des Johnston and Cec Harris, as well as Ivy Wooton, who arrived on the Island with her husband Tom.
