From later this month the tournament will be streamed ad-free, live and on-demand on Stan’s new add-on sport package Stan Sport.

For the first time ever, the brand new competition will see South Africa’s former Super Rugby teams, the Bulls, Lions, Sharks and Stormers, face off against the Pro14 Rugby sides from Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales.

Sixteen teams will compete in The Guinness Pro14 Rainbow Cup, with each South African squad scheduled to make a three-match tour to Europe during the competition.

Kicking off from Saturday, 24th April, the tournament will consist of six rounds of eight games, with all teams ranked in a single league table.

The first three weeks of the competition will feature a number of blockbuster local derbies, with several all-South African, Irish and Welsh match ups on offer.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the top two sides in the competition will then face each other in The Guinness Pro14 Rainbow Cup Final on Sunday, 20th June.

In addition to The Guinness Pro14 Rainbow Cup, every game of the Super Rugby AU, Super Rugby AotearoaTrans-Tasman Tournament, The Rugby Championship, Bledisloe Cup, Shute Shield, Hospital Challenge Cup, Currie Cup and New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship will stream ad-free, live and on demand on Stan Sport; plus, Super W, Wallabies and Wallaroos test matches, SANZAAR Union home tests, Japan’s Top League and more.
