A Storm is brewing tomorrow night as Melbourne and the Roosters collide in a must-see spectacle with a big bearing on the premiership credentials of both top teams.

Before that, the Broncos and Panthers meet in Round 6 of the NRL on Nine in Hisense Thursday Night Footy.

The undefeated Panthers play a Brisbane team that will need every bit of support from their Suncorp Stadium home crowd to take the fight to the competition leaders.

While the Panthers field an unchanged side, the Broncos welcome back star winger Corey Oates for his first game of the season.

On Macca’s Friday Night Footy, the Sydney Roosters head to Melbourne in a game where James Tedesco and Ryan Papenhuyzen – arguably the best two fullbacks in the game – go head-to-head with eyes on a NSW Origin jersey.

While injuries have plagued the Tri-Colours this season, 18-year-old halfback Sam Walker has been a standout performer just two games into his NRL career – but he gets an early litmus test against the reigning premiers in enemy territory.

Retired superstar Sonny Bill Williams joins the Channel 9 commentary team to offer his expert insights on this tantalising contest.

The third game on Nine, Chemist Warehouse Sunday Footy, is a tight contest between the Bulldogs and Cowboys. The Cowboys are coming off their first win of the season, over Wests Tigers, while desperation alone makes Trent Barrett’s Bulldogs, still searching for their first win, a dangerous prospect.

Wrecking ball and captain Jason Taumalolo is a chance to return for North Queensland, lining up against English big man, Luke Thompson.

The battling Bulldogs need early points if they are a chance of upsetting the more favoured Cowboys.
