The premiership decider shapes as a classic contest between a powerhouse Crows team headlined by superstars Erin Phillips, Ebony Marinoff and Anne Hatchard, and a proud Lions side that has also plenty of firepower in Ally Anderson, Kate Lutkins and Cathy Svarc.

Adelaide is bidding for a record third AFLW premiership, but the Lions lost the inaugural 2017 Grand Final to the Crows by just one goal and will be confident of turning the tables this year.

Seven’s coverage on Saturday kicks off at 1.00pm AEST on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus, and will include a pre-match performance by indie-pop star G Flip, who burst to prominence in 2018 with her debut single About You

Seven’s broadcast will again be led by the AFLW’s #1 commentary team, featuring Abbey Holmes, Jason Bennett, Nigel Carmody, Mark Soderstrom and Sam Lane

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport, Lewis Martin, said:

“After the disappointment of last year’s AFLW season being cut short on the eve of the finals, we’re set for a truly fitting finale this year. This Saturday, we’ll see the two best teams and some of the competition’s biggest stars do battle at one of footy’s best venues, with the game’s biggest prize on the line. The scene is set for an absolute thriller. We can’t wait for the opening bounce.”

It’s also a big week in the AFL, with revered Geelong skipper Joel Selwood joining Seven’s commentary team for tonight’s Maddie’s Match between St Kilda and Richmond at Marvel Stadium. Seven’s coverage begins at 7.00pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7mate, when Daisy Pearce will be back on the boundary line for the first time in 2021.

Round five will also see ex-Bomber Joe Daniher clash with his former side for the first time when the Brisbane Lions host Essendon at the Gabba on Saturday night from 6.30pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7mate.

The round’s other highlights include:
– West Coast v Collingwood, Optus Stadium, Friday 7.30pm AEST
– Hawthorn v Melbourne, MCG, Sunday 2.30pm AEST, with AFL Legend Leigh Matthews in the commentary box

AFLW Grand Final on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus. Adelaide v Brisbane Lions, Saturday 1.00pm AEST
