With motocross in the red-hot heart of Australia, it’s all action, all the time. MaveriX follows a group of junior riders that make up the first intake of the MaveriX Academy. MaveriX is a bold experiment in next-level riding designed to push them to their limits, supercharge their talents and set them on a course to the big time. At the Academy the six gifted individual riders will spend six weeks over the summer holidays in one of the most challenging yet beautiful environments known to humankind.  Here they must learn to race as a team – or fail.

The series introduces six young stars from across the country as the wannabe junior motocross champs at MaveriX Academy. Darcy Tadich as Scott has a big heart –and a major challenge on his hands as he learns to lead a team. Tatiana Goode plays Jenny who has a will to win but can she take care of herself at the same time?

Sam Winspear-Schillings is Bear with mad skills you can’t teach, and a wild streak. Tdjiirm McGuire stars as Richie a teenager with plenty of courage to ride but not to take on his parents. Sebastian Tang plays Kaden, a rider with stacks of talent and the sense of entitlement to go with it too. Charlotte Maggi as Angelique has strategised all her life – to survive, not to race! Joining the young team are Jane Harber (Offspring and The Moodys) and Rohan Nichol (Home and Away, A Place To Call Home).

MaveriX is produced by Brindle Films’ Rachel Clements and Trisha Morton-Thomas who collaborated on Finke: There and Back, and is written by Sam Meikle (Wakefield), Fin Edquist (100% Wolf), Michelle Offen (East West 101) Kelly Schilling (Two Twisted) and Sarinah Masukor.  Directors include Isaac Elliott (The Legend of Burnout Barry), Ian Watson (Doctor Doctor) and Geoff Bennett (Bump).

The high-octane, kids adventure drama, MaveriX will film in and around Alice Springs over the next few months and air on ABC ME in 2022.
