Channel 10 has confirmed the 13th season MasterChef Australia is set to premiere on Tuesday, 20 April at 7.30pm.

While it’s somewhat unusual for a network to premiere a major reality franchise on a Tuesday, as previously reported by TV Blackbox, Channel 10 has been eager to avoid direct competition with Married At First Sight which is now set to conclude on Monday, April 19.

The launch of Masterchef Australia will however find itself competing against the nostalgic Dancing with the Stars specials on Seven, while Nine is anticipated to be premiering its family-friendly juggernaut Lego Masters on Sunday, April 25.

Esteemed judges Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen return to the MasterChef kitchen ready to be surprised, intrigued and inspired by the country’s next generation of culinary superstars as they battle it out for the title of MasterChef Australia and a cash prize of $250,000.

In 2021, MasterChef Australia will be seasoned to perfection with some of the world’s most recognisable and beloved chefs including the Queen of the kitchen Nigella Lawson, Yotam Ottolenghi, Heston Blumenthal, Massimo Bottura and Clare Smyth, all set to challenge the top 24 contestants.

Plus, homegrown sensations including Curtis Stone, Kirsten Tibballs, Darren Purchese, Alla Wolf-Tasker, Scott Pickett, Poh Ling Yeow, Callum Hann and Reynold Poernomo return to put the cherry on top of a must-watch season.

MasterChef Australia is a cooking competition like no other. It transforms lives, inspires the nation and impresses the world’s best chefs. If season 12 was unmissable, season 13 is deserving of its own Michelin star, with every single member of the top 24 dreaming of holding aloft the coveted trophy.

MasterChef Australia premieres Tuesday, 20 April at 7.30pm on 10 and continues Wednesday and Thursday nights.

  1. I live in the US and currently have Xfinity Stream, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Discovery Plus, Paramount Plus, Peacock, and Showtime. I remember seeing an “upcoming” ad on one of those platforms, of the new 2021 Masterchef season coming out on April 20th, 2021. Where can I watch this show? Without using a VPN, which I’m afraid to use because Xfinity doesn’t like those and warns me they will cut off my service completely if I try to use a VPN. Please email me with any responses, and thank you so much! LC

    • Hi Leslie – you won’t see the 2021 season of MasterChef Australia in the US until it is complete here. So if you want to watch it ASAP a VPN and 10play are your only options.
