“Earlier today, we backed out a software update provided early to a limited number of iQ3/iQ4 customers.

For some of those customers, the software backout has caused a black screen. We apologise to those customers affected.”

TV Blackbox understands a solution has been found for some customers who have internet connections using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. These customers have been advised to disconnect one of those internet sources and allow the backout to restore.

Foxtel advises for the remaining customers; it is still investigating and has made the ability to cast Foxtel GO available as an interim solution.

“Our technology team are working on the issue overnight, and we will be able to provide an update during Wednesday morning.

We again apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate the patience of those customers affected while we restore their service.”
