Seven’s GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL celebrates 90 years with PETER MITCHELL, NATALIE BARR, and more!

A cavalcade of Australia’s most-loved household names and celebrities will come together to raise vital funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital this Friday, when the Seven Network broadcasts the 90^th annual Good Friday Appeal live from 12.00pm AEDT.

The Good Friday Appeal is an institution that unites the people of Victoria and beyond like few others. Seven has broadcast the iconic event since 1957 and is proud to continue that tradition this year, on Channel 7 in Melbourne and 7plus.

From 12.00pm AEDT, hosts Peter Mitchell, Jane Bunn, Natalie Barr, Mike Amor and Jacqui Felgate will get the Appeal telecast started, sharing the inspiring stories of children and families who have been touched by the extraordinary work of the team at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Joining them will be Blake Johnson, Paul Dowsley, Melina Sarris and Estelle Griepink from 7NEWS.

The annual Good Friday AFL blockbuster takes centre stage at 4.00pm AEDT, when North Melbourne takes on the Western Bulldogs. James Brayshaw, Luke Darcy, Wayne Carey and Abbey Holmes will bring fans all the action from Marvel Stadium, including a half-time goal shoot-out between former club greats Brent Harvey (Kangaroos) and Brad Johnson (Bulldogs) to raise funds for the Appeal. 

From 7.30pm, Peter Mitchell, Natalie Barr, Larry Emdur and Hamish McLachlan will host a jam-packed live night show, with help from Jane Bunn at the Country Board and Sam Mac in the phone room.

Panellists will include Seven sport favourites Brian Taylor, James Brayshaw, Matthew Richardson, Luke Darcy, Abbey Holmes, Abbey Gelmi, Tim Watson, Jacqui Felgate, Heath Shaw and Dale Thomas, along with cast members from The Chase Australia and Better Homes and Gardens, and side-splitting comedians Lehmo, Arj Barker, Dilruk Jayasinha and Lizzy Hoo.

Fans will also enjoy special live performances from Aussie music stars Kate Ceberano, Guy Sebastian, Human Nature, Rob Mills, Lucy Durack and Isaiah Firebrace – together with the one and only Effie.

The Appeal will get off to an early start on Seven on Good Friday, with Sunrise and The Morning Show crossing to The Royal Children’s Hospital via Sam Mac and Larry Emdur.
