Given the ratings disparity between the two all season it was only ever going to go one way. Even though ratings are taking a break…but let’s not start that argument right now.
Married At First Sight (1,106,000) lays waste to all competitors for Nine, while
60 Minutes (738,000) does a reasonably job landing its best this year to help the win. A repeat of Australian Crime Stories (222,000) completes a horror day for the network. Nine is first by nearly double its main rival in both primary (28%) & network (36.7%) shares.
The Project (274,000 6:30pm; 429,000 7pm) didn’t have much to offer for 10.
The season finale of The Amazing Race Australia (finale 618,000; winner 691,000) basically fizzes, though delivers its best figures this season. MOVIE: Second Act (172,000) was basically unable to draw an audience. 10 could barely manage third in both primary (12.5%) & network (19.2%) shares.
Grand Designs New Zealand (416,000) provides an alternative from the ABC however it wasn’t an overly competitive one. Harrow (398,000) and Silent Witness (271,000) draw reasonably consistent audiences. A repeat of Patrick Melrose (52,000) finishes Sunday for Aunty. ABC fourth in both primary (10.7%) & network (14.9%) shares.
