Seven’s split Wednesday to launch the AFL garners some interest though not enough to come close to Nine.

Nine’s Wednesday held together by A Current Affair (763,000) and Married At First Sight (1,030,000), which again did massive numbers – second highest this season.
Amazing Grace (415,000) down on previous weeks, though not critically so. New Amsterdam (64,000) completes the night. Nine first in both primary (25.5%) & network (33.5%) shares.

Honestly, with the AFL returning Seven’s Wednesday night is passing a mess nationally. Home and Away (511,000) got a single ep everywhere, and then an extra ep (no figures available) in MEL/ADL/PER only (SYD/BNE will get it tomorrow night). Border Security double (197,000; 144,000) was a SYD/BNE only, while 2021 AFL Season Launch (127,000) landed only in MEL/ADL/PER. The Front Bar (281,000) aired in all markets, though 8:30pm in MEL/ADL/PER and 11pm in SYD/BNE. Ambulance: Code Red (164,000) was the reverse – 8:30pm in SYD/BNE and 10pm in MEL/ADL/PER. A repeat of Born to Kill (121,000) landed in 9:30pm in SYD/BNE and 11pm in MEL/ADL/PER. KEEPING UP?! Glorious. Seven second in both primary (16.2%) & network (23.4%) shares.

Wednesday night on the ABC is continuing to do good business. 7:30 (600,000) and Hard Quiz (621,000) a strong second in the slot, the latter still the highest rating primetime game show in Australia. The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (544,000) gave a solid lead-in to new Aussie comedy Fisk (532,000).
A repeat of Why Are You Like This (159,000), then a new ep of QI (143,000), then a repeat of Staged (51,000) finished out the night. ABC third in both primary (13.7%) & network (18.6%) shares.

The Project (264,000 6:30pm; 423,000 7pm) held together 10’s patchy Wednesday. The Cube Australia (317,000) is finding its audience is vanishing faster than one of its challenges. A new and repeat ep of Bull (201,000; 159,000) offer zero competition. 10 fourth, deservedly so, in both primary (9.2%) & network (16.4%) shares.
