It is the greatest mystery of our age. Where did the virus that has laid waste to our world, come from?

And has China taken advantage of the pandemic to pursue its global military, political and economic ambitions?

With the World Health Organisation’s final report into the origin of the COVID 19 virus due out on Monday March 15, Liz Hayes puts China & The Virus under investigation, with scientific experts putting the case for and against the ‘lab leak’ theory, as well those who defend China’s actions – and its innocence.

Scott Morrison has been at the forefront of international leaders calling for a full investigation into the origin of the virus. For even daring to ask, Australia has been punished by China’s communist regime.

China has also threatened and silenced scientists and journalists in its own country and others who challenge its party line on how and when COVID 19 first arose in Wuhan.

Under Investigation’s experts gather at the war table to analyse China’s role in the worst year humanity has faced in living memory.

The allegations under investigation include:

  • That the COVID virus first infected and killed miners from bats in an abandoned copper mine eight years before the pandemic struck.
  • That the original COVD virus from the infected miners was studied and potentially genetically manipulated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology using a highly risky research technique designed to make viruses more lethal.
  • That the virus accidentally escaped the Wuhan laboratory – for a long time considered pure conspiracy theory but gaining credibility amongst a growing number of scientists – including those on Under Investigation’s team.
  • That the World Health Organisation has been complicit in China’s potential coverup of the initial outbreak and the origin of the virus, with the WHO already making a recent about-face on whether its official investigation would incorporate the ‘lab-leak’ theory.
  • And our experts will analyse China’s brutal repression in Hong Kong and its military expansion in the Pacific, carried out under the cover of the pandemic, as well as the economic punishment – in the form of trade sanctions – it has meted out to Australia and other countries who have criticised China.

  1. We all knew this b4 u aired it. I think governments think we are all just robotic day to day idiots, we are not… there will be more all countries hold all diseases old and new through their army’s, ready to unleash when they want.
    It’s not rocket science

  2. Australian media has a long history of lack of integrity, you can look at the previous Australian news. In the early days of the epidemic, there was a large number of anti-Chinese graffiti in Australia that attacked and insulted people of Asian origin, as well as graffiti on their garage doors and streets. The media just reported it and said it was because China had covered up the epidemic. Everyone was unhappy. But few in the media have been vocal in their criticism of the practice.
