How is 500,000 the new “that was a good launch” normal?
Nine continue their untouchable lead from 7pm with A Current Affair (686,000), into Married At First Sight (932,000) which was again the number one program for the night. Half the audience hung around for the premiere of Aussie drama Amazing Grace (504,000) allowing it to win the timeslot, followed by a new episode of US drama New Amsterdam (180,000). Nine first in both primary (24.4%) & network (32%) shares.
Home and Away (525,000) Seven’s best for the night. The special Billy Connolly: It’s Been A Pleasure (433,000) secured third in the timeslot, and a double ep of The Pembrokeshire Murders (319,000; 255,000) rounded out the evening. Seven land the closest second in both primary (18.5%) & network (26.9%) shares they’ve had in over three weeks.
The ABC’s Wednesday night consistent week-on-week. 7:30Â (607,000) and Hard Quiz (579,000) second in the timeslot, with The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (459,000) and Aftertaste (258,000) not far off the pace at 8:30pm either. A repeat of Why Are You Like This (93,000), a new ep of Adam Hills: The Last Leg (106,000), and a repeat of Staged (37,000) taper into the evening. ABC third again in both primary (12.3%) & network (17.9%) shares.
10 in trouble, having not crawled out of fourth place all week. The Project (259,000 6:30pm; 403,000 7pm) continues to suffer, and new game show The Cube Australia (351,000) sheds nearly half its audience from last week. Double repeat eps of Bull (184,000; 159,000) didn’t help either. 10 stuck in fourth for both primary (9.4%) & network (16.2%) shares.
