Peter Stormare challenges the history of the United States as he sets out on a journey to solve the mystery of the Kensington Runestone – a Viking artefact found in the US.
In the first episode, Peter Stormare (Fargo, American Gods) feels strongly connected to Olof Ohman, the Swedish immigrant who found the Kensington runestone, and he sets out on a personal quest to prove he is not a hoaxer.
He teams up with history enthusiast Elroy Balgaard and it quickly gets clear to them that the rune stone is a controversial subject with a lot of passionate people invested in its story.

Their first action is to meet with Scott Wolter, a forensic geologist who has been studying the stone for almost 20 years.
