Today show host Alison Langdon has confirmed she will be returning to breakfast program next week.
Langdon told fan’s via the programs weekly newsletter she was looking forward to returning to Today.
“I’m starting to count down the sleeps until I join Karl, Alex, Brooke and Tim back on the desk on Monday morning.”
The popular breakfast host has been missing from Today since she sustained a serous knee injury last month while filming a segment for the program riding a hoverboard.
The segment had been promoted as a showdown between Karl Stefanovic and Langdon on water jets. Langdon had been riding the Hoverboard for up to 60 minutes with instructors when the incident occurred.
“I can’t believe it has been a month since the accident. In that time I have pretty much read every book on my wish list (which was long), done countless jigsaw puzzles with the kids and tried to make the most of the downtime.”
The presenter required several pins to be inserted into her right knee, and is currently unable to put weight on the leg.
“I’ve been working really hard on my rehabilitation, which hasn’t been pleasant, but I’m slowly getting there.”
Langdon went on to thank Sylvia Jeffrey’s and Leila McKinnon for filling in for the presenter during her recovery.
