Other than the reliability of the ABC’s Monday night line-up, nothing comes close to challenging Nine’s primetime dominance.

What a night for Nine! A Current Affair (729,000) starts strong, but it’s Married At First Sight (1,020,000) – delivering its best numbers this season so far – that seals the deal. MAFS also offers a nice halo to the premiere of Under Investigation with Liz Hayes (755,000), which beats Four Corners even though it started nearly 40 minutes later. A repeat of Australian Crime Stories (315000) caps off their night. Nine unequivocally first in both primary (27.2%) & network (34.3%) shares.

Look, Seven have a real problem. Their primary channel hasn’t won a night in over three weeks…and we’re only just into the fourth week of ratings. Home and Away (514,000) was their best(!) and that’s saying something. Holey Moley Australia (319,000) finishes its season with less than a third of the audience it started with. It will need serious re-tooling before it returns. US dramas 9-1-1 (240,000) and The Rookie (178,000) don’t add any fuel to their ratings fire either. Seven a distant second in both primary (15.3%) & network (24%) shares.

The ABC’s Monday night current affairs line-up offers a great point of difference to the commercial channels and is largely rewarded for it. 7:30 (620,000) and Australian Story (654,000) are second in the timeslot, and then Four Corners (549,000) does well though beaten but Nine’s new investigative program with Media Watch (469,000) caught up in its wake. The Pacific: In the Wake of Captain Cook with Sam Neill (253,000) and
a repeat of You Can’t Ask That (114,000) complete Aunty’s evening. ABC third in both primary (14.1%) & network (18.4%) shares.

Oh 10. Oh wow. The Project (248,000 6:30pm; 429,000 7pm) barely draws any attention, and The Amazing Race Australia (495,000) is their highest rating program for the night (which says something). Hughesy, We Have A Problem (223,000) has a real problem – where did its audience go? An encore of The Graham Norton Show (101,000) didn’t add much to complete their evening. 10 very significantly fourth in both primary (9.6%) & network (16.8%) shares.
