Sports fans are strapping themselves in for a thrilling 2021 Supercars season as the world’s greatest touring car championship for the season-opening Repco Mount Panorama 500 at Bathurst this weekend.
The Mount Panorama 500 will be broadcast live and free from 12.00pm AEDT on Saturday and Sunday on Channel 7 and 7mate, and live-streamed on 7plus.
It is the first of six blockbuster Supercars events on Seven and 7plus in 2021. Fans can also look forward to:
• Darwin Triple Crown, Hidden Valley Raceway, 19-20 June
• NTI Townsville, Reid Park Street Circuit, 10-11 July
• Sydney SuperNight, Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, 21-22 August
• Repco Bathurst 1000, Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, 8-10 October
• Season finale: Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise Street Circuit, 4-5 December
Highlights from the other races of the 2021 Supercars Championship will be replayed on Seven and 7plus the same day of the race.
This weekend Jamie Whincup will be out to cement his status as the greatest Supercars driver of all time as he enters his farewell season in 2021.
However, the seven-time Supercars champion will have to overcome a strong group of challengers, led by teammate and 2016 champion Shane van Gisbergen, last year’s runner-up Cameron Waters, young guns Chaz Mostert and Anton de Pasquale, and rising star Will Brown.

Leading sports broadcaster Mark Beretta will headline Seven’s Supercars coverage in 2021.
Joining him at Bathurst will be co-host Abbey Gelmi, Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor and Australian cricket great and motorsport lover Brad Hodge – all three of whom will be making their Supercars commentary debuts on Saturday – plus long-time Supercars driver Jack Perkins, son of motorsport legend Larry Perkins.
Motorsport icons Neil Crompton, Mark Skaife, Craig Lowndes and Garth Tander will also be part of the coverage, along with fan favourite Mark Larkham in pit lane.
