Williams and Djokovic lead the charge for a big Nine victory.
It was really one-way traffic as Nine win again with Australian Open 2021 Night 9 (668,000). The Williams/Halep (699,000) and Djokovic/Zverev (440,000) matches underpinned their success as they land first in both primary (24.5%) & network (32.6%) shares.
Home and Away (526,000) lands as Seven’s high point for the night, countered diabolically with a new low for Holey Moley Australia (436,000). US dramas The Good Doctor (300,000) and The Resident (153,000) keep dans happy and DVRs whirring. Seven second in both primary (16.9%) & network (24.6%) shares.
The spill-over of the Brittany Higgins interview saw The Project (287,000 6:30pm; 496,000 7pm) and its second half-hour stay up, helping The Amazing Race Australia (554,000) get a nice bounce and be the number 1 entertainment program in the timeslot. NCIS (273,000) and NCIS: Los Angeles (204,000) deliver strong fan service. 10 third in both primary (12.1%) & network (18.8%) shares.
ABC’s Tuesday night struggled after 7:30Â (520,000), given Foreign Correspondent (398,000) and Catalyst (296,000) didn’t connect broadly. Australia Remastered (165,000) almost at the end of its run and end of its interest, and the night capped with a repeat of QI (123,000). ABC fourth in both primary (10.6%) & network (15.4%) shares.
