The HBO dark comedy thriller, The Flight Attendant has delivered strong audience numbers for the Foxtel group.
TV Blackbox can reveal The Flight Attendant, now ranks as the number one series in the history of the Fox One channel.
Starring Kaley Cuoco in the title role, The Flight Attendant was Kaley’s first TV series since fan-favourite The Big Bang Theory and had been highly anticipated by fans. The HBO Max produced drama series has already been renewed for a second season.
The premiere episode of The Flight Attendant now ranks as the third-largest new drama series launch (575,000) since Wentworth season one in May 2013 (709,000).
The second largest series also occurred in 2020 with the premiere of Nicole Kidman series, The Undoing achieving average cumulative audience of 687,000.
Streaming continues to be biggest growth area for viewing drama content on Foxtel, with 49% of all viewing of The Flight Attendant occurring via the Foxtel GO/Now platforms and On Demand via iQ3/4 set-top boxes.
In addition to the strong Foxtel ratings, the series also performed well on the new SVOD platform BINGE where a strong advertising campaign ensured the series was the most watched series on the platform over multiple weeks.

After watching the full season of “The Flight Attendant”, I can honestly say it is Kaley Cuoco’s best and funniest work yet. She handled the combination of darkness and comedy so well.
