Seven has today confirmed the first official cast member for the upcoming primetime special, Dancing With The Stars: All Stars.

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou is returning to the ballroom with her original dance partner Aric Yegudkin.

Ada and Aric were Season 3 champions in 2005, defeating newsreader Chris Bath and reality judge Dicko.

Ada and Aric also went on to claim the “Champion of Champions” title that year in a friendly face off against Season 2 champions Tom Williams and Kym Johnson.

Ada is one of five former DWTS champions rumoured to be taking part in the new season which sees fan favourites quick-stepping back onto the dancefloor for a second shot at the coveted mirrorball trophy. 

The full cast for Dancing With The Stars: All Stars will be announced soon.

Having returned to Seven after a brief, unsuccessful run on Channel 10, the reality format is set to be ‘reimagined’ for 2021 featuring fan favourites, flashbacks and ‘spectacular’ surprises.

Seven is set to condense the pre-recorded season which will be broadcast across multiple nights acros two action-packed weeks.

Some of the most popular and entertaining stars from the iconic series are heading back to the ballroom, ready for their second shot at the coveted mirror ball trophy.

The dancing cast and hosting duties are yet to be confirmed, but as previously revealed by TV Blackbox, original hosts Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger are tipped to return for the primetime event.

Seven’s Network Programming Director, Angus Ross, said:

Dancing With The Stars is one of the most successful television formats in the world. It was a massive hit for us across 15 seasons and we are delighted to welcome it home.”
