As Victoria enters a five-day lockdown, Television audiences for the Australian Open are continuing to build on Nine.
Last nights epic five set battle where Austrian player, Dominic Thiem eventually defeated Australia’s Nick Kyrgios was watched by national peak audience of 1.806 million (Metro: 1.367 million / Regional: 439,000)
The match broadcast from 7:14pm until 10:40pm AEDT achieved a national average audience of 1.271 million (Metro: 1.002 million / Regional: 269,000).
The ratings result makes the match the number 1 non-news program of the year so far, and helped Nine achieve a 39.6 network share for the evening.
The Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz match broadcast on Nine after 11pm AEDT achieved a national average audience of 484,000 (Metro: 264,000 / Regional: 220,000)
How come there are no figures from Foxtel? I refuse to believe it got less than 25,000 that the 20th Foxtel rated show on the night!
Hi Eric – it did.
