RECAP | Symon Lovett departs I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! with a Splash

The celebrities started their day with mimosas, danishes and encouraging letters from home, and to keep things fancy, a boy’s brunch involving sushi soon followed.

Symon, Grant and Dipper were given the opportunity to make history at the Sushi Bowl challenge by putting their healthy appetites to work – and make history they did.

The boys digested a range of questionable sushi items, securing a total of 13 stars, which in turn broke the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! world record for most stars attained across the food trials for any one season.

The campmates were then summoned to The Edge Of The Jungle once again, where it was time to see if their supermarket skills checked out.

To remain in the game, our celebrities were required to load $150 worth of groceries into the Super Hard Market trolley. Shopaholic Abbie was bang on $150, but sadly big spenders Symon, Adam and Ash were in the red.

Fighting for their life in the game, the bottom three had to attempt to guess how many critters were inside the Hell Hole of Destiny. Jungle Jesus Ash proved he was invincible, while Symon said a sad farewell to his soul mate Adam as he departed the jungle.

On reflection, intruder Symon shared:

“It was weird and it was way harder than I thought it was going to be. We came in late, and this group is so tight knit, it’s hard to get into that inner circle.”
