KAYO to launch new FREE streaming package starting with Motorsport and A-League

Kayo Sports has today announced the launch of Kayo Freebies, making a selection of live sports, entertainment shows, documentaries available for free.

Kayo Freebies, available to stream online through kayosports.com.au and the Kayo Sports app, will launch later this month with its first live Freebie one of Australia’s most iconic Supercars events – the Mt Panorama 500 starting February 26.

Selected A-League and W-League games will also be available as Kayo Freebies with more Freebies announced in the coming weeks.

Fox Sports has received $40 million in Federal Government funding since 2017 to boost the coverage of female and under-represent sport in Australia, and its expected more of this content will move into the free-tier on Kayo.

Fox Sports is also a leading contender to secure to the Super Netball competition in the next rights deal.

Premium content such as AFL, NRL and International Cricket will remain behind the pay-wall. Kayo currently has 680,000 subscribers in Australia and is seeking to further boost its numbers ahead of the arrival of new streaming competitor Stan Sport.

Kayo Sports CEO, Julian Ogrin, said:

Freebies will have new live events each month, regular live games from selected sports together with replays, Kayo Minis and special events featuring documentaries and classic matches.
