Malcolm Bright, a former FBI profiler, is the son of a serial killer and suspects that he himself might become a sociopath. He solves crimes for the NYPD as a form of absolution for his upbringing. The plot details for Prodigal Son season 2 have yet to be revealed, but we can make some assumptions based on the first season. The Whitly family have got a major cover-up on their hands to deal with ,after Ainsley unexpectedly killed Dermot Mulroney’s slimy Nicholas Endicott at the of S1. So expect to see the series focus more on Ainsley and her own demons alongside Malcolm’s – her father is also a serial killer, afterall.
