As production on the 2021 series of Big Brother gets set to wrap on December 21 TV Blackbox can reveal producers are looking for a new location after being evicted from Many’s North Head.

As former winner Ben Norris reported on The Ben, Rob & Robbo Internet Show, the eviction notice was served by the National Parks and Wildlife Service over concerns for local wildlife. Between the production team and numerous trespassers on site (i.e. fans and paparazzi), the call has been made not to renew the location contract.

Endemol Shine Australia has a two-season deal for use of the site.

Now the hunt is on for a new location and Ben reports there could be a possible return to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. Sources say the managers of the theme park have been sounded out about a possible return. Also under consideration is Cockatoo Island, which will help with security.

Meanwhile, Seven is so happy with what they have seen of the second series, still in production, they have already held discussions about an two additional instalments of Big Brother.

Insiders claim the casting is much better than last year, the use of the stadium is next level and how intruders are used to change the game are going to blow audiences minds.

And there’s a further twist.

While series two and three will both run in 2021 and feature ‘civilians’, series four in 2022 is set to feature ‘all-stars’ v ‘civilians’. But long-time fans of Big Brother will be disappointed to find out there are no plans to include housemates from the older series, the all-star cast will be made up of contestants from the Channel 7 series only.

Channel 7 has denied commissioning any further series, which is true in the fact that no contracts have been signed, but executives are keen.
