There are serious concerns for a producer on the Channel 10 series after an on-set accident

Producer Yasmin Kara broke her back on the set of THE AMAZING RACE

The TV industry is worried about a producer who was hurt while filming Channel 10’s The Amazing Race. It’s understood Producer Yasmin Kara was testing a challenge for the Eureka Productions program when she broke her vertebrae.

Sources have told TV Blackbox the safety briefing ran for a mere 42 seconds before Yasmin took part in the challenge, which involved jumping into water. It’s understood each person had to jump in a certain way. It’s unknown how clear this was communicated to those testing the challenge out.

Yasmin is a Senior Producer with more than a decade of experience in broadcast television and has been involved with many reality TV productions.

Basically, she knows what she is doing.

Colleagues are now concerned the production company (Eureka Productions) are not looking after her in her hour of need.

A Eureka Productions spokesperson said:

“Eureka complies with all applicable workplace health and safety laws. The safety and wellbeing of all contestants and crew in any and all of Eureka’s production environments is paramount.”

The company did not answer questions on whether the medical bills of Yasmin were being paid or whether proper safety procedures had been followed.

Also of concern is the fact this is the same production company who made headlines recently when TV Star Denise Drysdale had a fall on the set of Channel 7’s upcoming series Holey Moley.

We have also heard reports of at least one other incident involving a contestant as Ben Norris reported in a recent episode of the TV Blackbox Podcast.

    • I have a hunch it was that Roadblock in yesterday’s episode where they trekked through the canyon waters.
