So, did many people watch TV last night? No. No they did not.

Even the finale of SAS Australia (737,000) didn’t beat the first three episodes, but it tick up on last night and was the best of a weak bunch. SAS UK (250,000) followed – if you’re interested hunt it out on a multi-channel. World’s Most Shocking Emergency Calls (109,000) was on television apparently. Home and Away (592,000) dropped half its lead-in and landed second at 7pm. Seven first in both primary (20.2%) and network (28.5%) shares.

With a line-up of RBT (361,000), Australian Crime Stories (344,000)m and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector (174,000) its fair to say Nine weren’t trying hard to compete. A Current Affair (635,000) leads at 7pm though wanes as summer kicks in. Nine second in both primary (16.4%) and network (26.3%) shares.

7:30 (,000) was the ABC’s best, tailing through Outback Ringer (382,000), the 90-min documentary Wayne (333,000), and Searching for Superhuman (97,000). ABC third in primary (12.8%) share, landing a tie with 10 in network (18%) share.

The Project (258,000 6:30pm; 441,000 7pm) leads 10’s lot. A repeat of Ambulance Australia (270,000) had them distant from the start, and the season 18 premiere of NCIS (234,000) followed byt two repeat episodes (190,000; 196,000) didn’t light any fires. 10 fourth in primary (11%) share, locking in a tie in network (18%) share.

Heeler-watchâ„¢: Bluey (173,000 am; 174,000 pm) delightfully good, though viewers now very keen for the Christmas episode landing next week. Still the highest-rating show on the multi-channels.

Sunrise (256,000) continues a strong trend, ahead of The Today Show (226,000) and ABC Breakfast (193,000 [125,000 ABC; 68,000 ABC News]).
